About Hartman Tree and Landscaping Services, L.L.C. Chris Jones

The Cedar River bends through Waverly with timber standing along the banks, and the yards up on that ground are shady, rooted and never quite level. Hartman Tree and Landscaping Services, L.L.C. Chris Jones mows and maintains lawns like these through the thick of a northeast Iowa summer, when growth is fast and the humidity makes every pass count. Mowing, string trimming around trunks and bed edges, edging along the concrete, and clippings blown clear once the cutting is done. Shade grass is fussier than sun grass; it rewards steady mowing and a light hand. Come a July evening, with the river running low and the air finally cooling, a lawn under those trees looks as good as anything out in the open.
