About Delong Snow & Lawn Care LLC

West of town the drumlins run in long low waves, and when the wind crosses them at two in the morning it carries the fields along with it. That is the hour Delong Snow & Lawn Care LLC is out — county roads glazed silver, the drift at the end of a farm lane rebuilt three times before dawn. Plowing here is a conversation with the wind: open it, come back, open it again, then shovel and treat the walk so nobody has to think about it. The reward is small and worth everything — a lit kitchen window, a truck backing out at six with no shovel in sight.
