Nate's Lawn Care

About Nate's Lawn Care

The first cut of April in Urbandale is done in wet shoes. Frost is barely out of the ground on the older grid of streets below the water tower, the grass is uneven and pale from winter, and the mower leaves tracks that will not fade until the second pass. Nate's Lawn Care starts the year right there and stays with it — mowing, trimming and edging each week as the lawn firms up, greens hard through May, and finally holds a line. Watching a yard come back from March into June is one of the better things about doing this work in Iowa. By the time the neighbors are eating outside, the edges are crisp and the turf is even from fence to fence.
