About Green Goat

Drivers on Interstate 80 catch Underwood in a glance, but the town reveals itself up close: rolling Pottawattamie County ground, unhurried streets, and yards that tilt and rise with the land. Green Goat takes its name from that patient, hungry grazer and brings the same steady appetite to Underwood lawns, minus the nibbling on fence posts. Mowing here means reading the slopes, keeping the cut even where a yard dips toward the ditch and climbs back toward the house. By midmorning the dew is gone, the passes are laid down, and the grass looks combed for company.
