Tender Lawn Care

About Tender Lawn Care

Toledo sits just above the Iowa River bottoms, close enough that a heavy snow settles the same soft, even way over both the in-town streets and the low fields running down toward the water. Tender Lawn Care works the residential blocks first, clearing driveways while the morning's still gray and the streetlights are doing more work than the sun. The river bottom holds frost longest of anywhere near town, a low white haze sitting over the fields until well past sunrise some mornings. Toledo's a quiet river-adjacent town most of the year, and winter only makes it quieter — fewer cars, softer light, snow that stays clean-looking longer than it would somewhere busier. The crew moves block by block until the whole route's been touched, leaving driveways clear before most of the town's even had coffee.
