Murken Lawn Care

About Murken Lawn Care

The South Skunk River runs along the edge of Story City, and on the coldest mornings it throws up a low fog that hangs over the bottomland fields before the sun burns it off. Murken Lawn Care runs its snow routes through those same river-bottom streets, clearing driveways while that fog is still hanging low enough to blur the streetlights. Away from the river, the town's residential blocks sit on a gentle rise, quiet strips of ranch houses and older farmhouses that need their walks and drives cleared before anyone's out the door. Winter mornings here come on slow — cold pooling into the low ground first, frost holding longest where the river bends closest to town. The crew works the rise and the bottomland both, one street at a time, until the whole route is clear.
