About Burnt Oak Solutions

Steamboat Rock takes its name from a great rock in the Iowa River that early settlers thought looked like a steamboat under way, and the town still sits among the wooded bluffs where the river winds through Hardin County. In October those bluffs burn red and amber, and plenty of that color ends up scattered across the lawns in town. Burnt Oak Solutions handles the mowing all summer and the fall cleanup that follows: leaves gathered, grass cut back for winter, yards left clean beneath the bare branches. There is a special pleasure in seeing a yard swept open again while the hills behind it still glow. It is lawn care with a feel for the river country it happens in.
