About Midwest Landscape & Design

West of Spirit Lake the country opens and simply keeps going — sloughs holding pieces of sky, the horizon set so far back that June evenings stay bright until nearly ten. Midwest Landscape & Design works in that long light, mowing, trimming, edging, tending beds, aerating and overseeding to thicken turf that has to take wind and full sun all summer. Out on this prairie a lawn is a deliberate green rectangle inside an enormous landscape, and it reads best when its lines are honest. Every pass gets laid straight, corners squared, borders held to the shape somebody drew for them. The land is big; the yard is yours.
