Snow to Shine

About Snow to Shine

June evenings in northwest Iowa run long — the sun hangs above the fields until nearly nine, and there is a whole extra hour of daylight to spend. Snow to Shine spends it mowing, working the last yards of the day while the heat lets go and the light turns amber across the grass. That late hour is the finest part of the season: cut lines throw shadows, trimmed edges read sharp, and a finished lawn looks like a photograph of itself. Mow, trim, edge, blow the walks — the routine does not change, only the light does. Then the truck rolls home through a Spencer dusk with the windows down.
