About Tompkins Lawn Care, Inc.

The land around Solon rolls — oak ridges, limestone under the sod, and the road tipping down toward Lake Macbride where the water goes flat and blue in the morning. Tompkins Lawn Care, Inc. keeps the yards on those slopes even and green, working around walnut shade and the little rises that make an operator earn every pass. Mowing here means reading a lawn: which side dries first, where the clippings want to fly, how close to run the trimmer to a fence post without scarring it. By the time the truck pulls out, the edges are crisp, the drive is blown clean, and the stripes follow the contour instead of fighting it. Between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids the growing season arrives fast and hard, and steady weekly care is what keeps a yard out ahead of it.
