Tapper Turf & Land

About Tapper Turf & Land

Evening comes slow to Slater. The grain elevator lays a long shadow down the street, the rail line ticks as it cools, and the last light spreads gold across a hundred back yards. Tapper Turf & Land is still out in it — mower deck warm, one more edge run true along a driveway before the dark closes in. Town lots and the bigger acreage yards out on the section roads get the same handling: cut to an even height, corners squared, hard surfaces swept behind. The best part of the day is the moment a lawn is finished, the sun nearly down, and the whole property simply looks cared for.
