About Beirman Outdoor Services

Slater sits where the prairie opens out flat and generous, and the High Trestle Trail slips past the edge of town on its way toward Madrid. Beirman Outdoor Services works the lawns along that grid of blacktop and gravel, mowing early while dew still silvers the grass. There is a real satisfaction in the last pass of a morning — stripes lined up square with the street, clippings blown off the walk, trimmer line run clean around every post and downspout. Wind comes across the corn all summer here, so a yard that holds its edge is a yard somebody tended on purpose. That is the whole of it: Slater lawns kept even and tidy, week after week, from the first green flush to the last cut of fall.
