About Cory's Lawn Service
Noon in the middle of July, the hill at Cone Park shimmering, cicadas grinding away in the boxelders, and not much shade to be found anywhere in Sioux City. Cory's Lawn Service works straight on through it — mowing at a height that helps turf survive the heat, trimming around the mailbox post and the swing set legs, cutting edges along drives and walks, staying after the weeds that thrive on exactly this weather. When autumn comes those properties get cleared ahead of the freeze, and in March they get opened back up. The pleasure of the job is the before and after: shaggy and uneven at one end of the hour, straight-lined and clean at the other. Keep that up week to week and a yard never has a bad month.
