About Sheley's Lawn Care LLC

There is one Saturday each April in Sheldahl when the first mow of the year goes down and the whole town smells new. Sheley's Lawn Care LLC works toward moments like that: cottonwoods leafing out, the sun warm on the grain bins, a fresh-cut lawn striped pale and dark like a flag. Through summer, mowing and trimming keep yards neat along the town's few quiet streets, framed by fields running straight out to the horizon. In winter the business shifts to snow removal, clearing driveways and walks when prairie wind piles drifts across them. It's a small town's year told in two chapters, and both get written with care.
