About Trash Canoe LLC

Just off Interstate 80, where the trucks keep humming west toward Omaha, Shelby folds into its hillside streets and the highway noise gives way to sprinklers and robins. Trash Canoe LLC brings lawn care to this western Iowa town, under a name that sticks the first time you hear it. The work is cutting and trimming in the cool early-summer hours, when dew lifts off the slopes and light comes in long from the east. Shelby's lawns climb and dip with the land, and a careful mow follows those contours so each yard looks combed rather than chopped. Driving past a block of them afterward, green and even in the morning sun, is a satisfying sight.
