Top Notch Tree Service

About Top Notch Tree Service

Rock Valley's grain elevator stands taller than anything else on the skyline, its lights usually still burning when Top Notch Tree Service finishes the last driveway of the evening on the streets below it. Snow off the open Sioux County fields tends to load up against the elevator's east side first, and the crew reads that same wind pattern across every yard in town before it reads anywhere else. Residential streets get cleared ahead of the elevator's night shift change, then the crew works out toward Hospers and Doon for the farm approaches. What's left by full dark is one tall lit building over a run of bare, salted driveways underneath it. Rock Valley eases into its winter evening early, streets already handled before most of the county sits down to supper.
