About Short's Lawn Care LLC.

Redfield sits where the Raccoon River winds through the hills west of Des Moines, and the Raccoon River Valley Trail runs right through town, carrying cyclists past backyards all summer long. Short's Lawn Care keeps the yards here worth slowing down for, mowing and trimming so the town shows well to anyone pedaling through. On a June evening, with the river light going copper and bike bells ringing along the trail, a lawn cut that afternoon is about as Iowa as it gets. When winter comes and the trail goes quiet under snow, the work turns to snow removal, plowing out drives while the river ices over along its banks. Two seasons, one plain aim: a Redfield yard in good order from the street to the far fence.
