About Peters Lawn And Landscaping

Stand on the high ground in Pleasant Hill in late October and the Des Moines River valley opens west in rust and bronze, city lights coming on beyond it. Peters Lawn And Landscaping spends that stretch of the calendar in the leaves — clearing yards, putting down the last cuts of the season, tidying beds before the ground goes hard. The rest of the year is mowing and trimming and edging, plus the landscape work that gives a yard its shape: bed lines, mulch, the border where planting meets grass. Nothing about a well-kept yard is accidental; it is a set of decisions repeated until they look inevitable. By the first hard frost the properties are put to bed and the whole street reads squared.
