About Premier Lawn

When the wind comes hard out of the west, the sails on the Vermeer Mill turn above Pella and every lawn in town leans the same direction. Premier Lawn starts its season under that spring wind — the first cuts of April, the trimming that squares up a winter-ragged fence line, the edging that gives a yard back its shape after months of grey. Grass in central Iowa wakes up fast once the soil warms, and those early weeks set the tone for everything that follows. Cut it clean and cut it often, and by June the lawn is thick enough to shade out most of its own trouble. Every visit ends the same way, with the clippings off the concrete and the borders holding a straight line.
