Genesis Snow Removal

About Genesis Snow Removal

The first real snow of November usually finds Pine Mountain before it finds the rest of town — the slope whitens, the air goes still and blue, and Iron Mountain knows the season has started for good. Genesis Snow Removal begins there too, opening driveways and lots and staying with them through the long stretch to April. Every winter starts over from nothing, which is the honest meaning of a name like this one: a fresh season, a fresh route, the same streets learned again under new snow. The work is plowing, hand-clearing the steps and walks a plow cannot reach, and putting down sand and salt where the day's melt will freeze after dark. A driveway opened before the household stirs is a small thing that makes the whole morning possible.
