About Genesis Lawn & Landscape

South of town the Boone River cuts a wooded valley through otherwise open ground, and Briggs Woods holds the timber that most of Hamilton County traded for row crop a long while back. Genesis Lawn & Landscape opens its year when that valley greens up — the first mow of April, the rake-out of last season's thatch, seed dropped into the patches where winter sat too long. Through the middle months it is weekly cutting, trimming and edging, with fertilizer laid down on schedule so the color holds when July turns hard and bright. October brings the leaf work, blown clear of the turf before the first hard frost pins it down for good. A lawn kept this way never asks for attention; it simply sits right against the driveway, the beds and the road.
