About FutureLawns LLC

Palo folds in close along a bend of the Cedar River, cottonwoods standing bare and silver over yards that back right up to the water, and this is a town that has learned the river's moods the hard way and built back regardless. FutureLawns LLC works those same riverside yards in winter, clearing driveways and walks in a town small enough that everyone remembers which houses sat closest to high water and rebuilt anyway. There's a particular kind of pride in a driveway scraped clean in a town built on starting over, snow crunching under boots on a Tuesday morning with nobody else awake yet. The current under the ice never really stops moving, and neither does this crew, working from one end of Palo's short streets to the other before the school buses start their rounds toward Cedar Rapids. A clear path here is a small vote of confidence in a town that keeps choosing to stay put.
