Herrmann's Lawn Care

About Herrmann's Lawn Care

March in the Des Moines River bottoms is mud and patience, and then one warm week arrives and everything around Ottumwa goes green at once. Herrmann's Lawn Care meets that turn with spring cleanup: winter debris raked out, beds opened back up, the first cut set high while the ground is still soft underfoot. From there it settles into the weekly rhythm of mowing, trimming and edging that carries all the way to frost. Lawns in this valley grow on good bottomland soil and repay anyone willing to show up when they said they would. Watching a yard climb back out of a gray Iowa winter never really gets old.
