About Grass Choppers Lawn Care

Storms in Ottumwa announce themselves from the west, a blue-black line stacked over the fields with about an hour of warning. Grass Choppers Lawn Care plans around them, because two inches of June rain sends every lawn in town shooting up at once and rewrites the mowing week overnight. The work is cut, trim and edge straight through that surge, then blow the drives and sidewalks so the clippings never wash down into the gutters. Wet ground asks for patience and a light touch — turf remembers a rut far longer than it remembers a missed week. When the sky finally clears and the yards are all knocked back into line, the whole street looks like it exhaled.
