About Tieskoetter Lawn Care

By October the maples along Ossian's side streets let go nearly all at once, and every lawn in town needs answering for. Tieskoetter Lawn Care spends those short afternoons at it — leaves cleared off the turf, fence lines and beds raked out, one last cut taken low so the grass goes into the cold without matting. This is limestone country, with spring creeks running the coulees north toward Decorah, and the ground drains and dries on its own schedule; knowing which yards can be mowed first after a wet week is most of the trade. The rest of the year it is the steadier rhythm — mowing, trimming, edging, the walk swept clean before the truck rolls to the next address. A lawn kept this way is quiet, and nobody remarks on it, which is precisely the point.
