September brings students back to William Penn, and Oskaloosa fills up again just as the mowing season begins to loosen its grip. Nord Lawn Care uses those weeks well — cutting, trimming and edging while the grass makes its second push of the year, then aerating and overseeding so roots go into the cold deep instead of shallow. Fall cleanup follows the maples down, and the beds are put to rest alongside them. In spring the order reverses and the whole thing begins again on the first genuinely warm week. Every pass aims at the same result: a yard somebody is glad to walk out onto barefoot.
