About Chesnut Lawn & Landscape

Where Cedar Creek winds south of Osceola the timber turns first, and by mid-October every yard in the county is doing its bookkeeping in oak and hackberry leaves. Chesnut Lawn & Landscape takes that stretch the way it takes the rest of the year: mowing and trimming while the grass still means it, then leaf removal and fall cleanup once it quits. Spring brings the other half of the work — bed edging, fresh mulch, shrubs shaped back into their outlines. Fertilizing, weed control and overseeding keep the turf thick enough to shoulder out trouble. Southern Iowa ground rolls and drains in its own particular ways, and a lawn tended with that understood holds up.
