Montoya's Lawn & Outdoor Services

About Montoya's Lawn & Outdoor Services

Warren County wakes in layers — fog low in the draws first, then the hilltops going gold, then Norwalk itself. Montoya's Lawn & Outdoor Services starts in that hour, when dew still weights the blades and the first pass leaves one dark line across a slope. Mowing, trimming and edging on these rolling lots means reading the grade and working the contour the way the land already leans. By the time traffic picks up on Highway 28, the clippings are hauled off, the walks are blown clean, and a yard that was shaggy at dawn holds its stripes into the afternoon. Fertilization, weed control, aeration and overseeding follow the calendar Iowa keeps: spring push, summer patience, fall repair. It is ordinary work, done for the pleasure of a straight line on a hill that did not want to give one.
