About Prairie Rose Lawn & Landscape

West of North Liberty the prairie still shows itself in September — big bluestem gone copper along the fence rows, coneflower heads standing dark, the wind moving across the whole thing in slow waves. Prairie Rose Lawn & Landscape carries a little of that country back into town, tending lawns with an eye for how grass actually wants to live: fed in the right window, aerated so the roots can chase the water down, overseeded so the stand thickens year over year. The weekly work is exact — mowing in even passes, trimming, an edge that holds its line along the drive — and the fall cleanup takes the leaves off before they can smother anything. Weed control does the rest. It is turf raised the way this ground has always raised grass, and it holds its color late.
