South of Newton the Iowa Speedway sits quiet six days a week, and on the seventh you can hear it across the bean fields. Grass Munchers keeps a schedule with about that much regard for a clock. Mow, trim, clear the drive, gone. Weekly through the growing season, and twice in the rush of late May when the rain will not quit and everything grows overnight. Weed control and feeding land when the calendar calls for them, and leaf cleanup starts once the ash trees begin to drop. The reward is small and repeatable: a lawn that looks the same good way every single week.
