Sunrise Lawn Service

About Sunrise Lawn Service

First light in Dickinson County comes across the sloughs and prairie potholes west of Milford, mist standing over the water until the day burns it away. Sunrise Lawn Service is out in that hour, blades shaking off the dew, the first yards of the day taking shape. Mowing, string trimming, edging, fertilization and weed control, aeration and overseeding, spring and fall cleanups — done in order, done early. The grass grows hard here through June and slows in the dry stretch of August, and the work reads it either way. By mid-morning there is a row of finished lawns behind the truck, still striped, still damp at the roots.
