About Needham Excavating & Landscaping

Highway 330 draws a long diagonal through southern Marshall County, and Melbourne sits along it where the farmland unrolls in easy swells under a big prairie sky. Needham Excavating & Landscaping, which pairs excavation with landscaping, keeps grass cut and tidy around Melbourne. Late spring brings the surge of growth, and a lawn kept at an even height, trimmed tight against foundations and drives, looks deep and full against the open fields beyond. Thunderheads build in the west on July afternoons, and a yard freshly cut before the rain smells sweet as hay. Watching the evening light slide across those acres as the mower falls silent is one of the small rewards of this place.
