About Outdoor Services Inc

You can watch a summer storm coming for half an hour out here — it builds past the west edge of Mason City over the open fields, and then the light turns green and the trees show the pale sides of their leaves. Outdoor Services Inc plans a week around that sky: mowing ahead of the rain, trimming and edging once the ground has drained, clearing the branches and litter a big wind scatters across a yard. Grass after a July downpour grows like it is in a hurry, and keeping pace with it is most of the job. The payoff is a lawn that stays even all season instead of catching up in fits and starts. Yards in Mason City and the surrounding countryside make up the daily route.
