Hanig Lawn Care

About Hanig Lawn Care

By early July the corn stands head-high right where the last street in Mason City gives out, and the day starts with dew heavy enough to soak a boot through. Hanig Lawn Care is out in it early — mowing while the air is still cool, trimming close around posts and foundations, edging the walks so the lines stay sharp. A cut done right in that first hour holds its shape all day, through the heat and the flat white light of a prairie afternoon. Cleanups bracket the year at both ends, hauling off what the wind and the trees leave behind. It is plain, attentive lawn care for Mason City and the small towns scattered south of it.
