About KJ's Green Thumb & Landscaping LLC

On an April morning in Martelle, the first robins work the thawed ground and a breeze brings the smell of turned soil off the surrounding farms. KJ's Green Thumb & Landscaping LLC, a landscaping business, cares for lawns in this little town. The opening mow of the season is a small ceremony: winter's matted grass lifted, edges squared along the walk, the yard suddenly looking awake. After that comes a steady rhythm all summer long, keeping each lawn neat as the town fills in with lilac and leaf. There is a gardener's patience in it, the kind of care that makes a modest yard glow.
