About Simply Repaired

South of Marshalltown the sand prairie holds its heat long into the evening, and by late August plenty of lawns in town have gone the same way — thin at the crown, tan at the edges, tired of the year. Simply Repaired takes the plain view its name suggests: mow it right, feed it, work seed into the bare patches, clear off what doesn't belong, and let September do the rest. Grass wants to come back; mostly it needs somebody to get out of its way. By the time the nights cool and the crickets own the block, the color has returned and the yard looks lived in on purpose. That turnaround never stops being satisfying.
