About Milestone Outdoor Company

Highway 14 runs north out of Marshalltown toward Albion, and by the end of March the ditches along it have turned from gray to the first honest green of the year. Milestone Outdoor Company opens its season about then — cleanups first, winter's debris pulled off the turf, then the weekly cut once the ground firms up enough to hold a wheel. Mowing, trimming and edging carry the middle of the year, right through to the leaf work in November. Every visit leaves something a person can stand at the curb and see plainly. In central Iowa that is a fair way to measure a whole season.
