Total Scapes

About Total Scapes

October comes down the Boyson Road corridor in yellow, the maples letting go all week and the trail below filling faster than anyone can walk it clear. Total Scapes spends that run of fall in Marion yards: the last cuts while the grass still climbs, leaf removal, bed cutbacks, mulching and the cleanups that put a property to bed. Late afternoon light lies low and gold over cooling turf, and there is a particular pleasure in raking a lawn back down to bare, even green before dusk. Nothing about Iowa autumn is gradual — one hard night of wind and the work doubles. Doing it well means a yard that comes out of winter ready instead of buried.
