About Prairie Winds Lawn & Landscaping, LLC

East of Marion the streets thin out and the fields take the horizon back, and the wind that crosses them is the same one combing the lawns at the edge of town. Prairie Winds Lawn & Landscaping, LLC works those blocks — mowing, edging, string trimming, and the bed and border work that gives a yard its shape. Out along the Grant Wood Trail, where an old rail grade turned into a path running toward Martelle, nothing is quite level, and neither are Marion yards; straight lines have to be earned there. There is a plain satisfaction in a lawn that reads clean from the sidewalk: the border crisp where turf meets drive, clippings blown off the walk, beds cut in one unhurried arc. Come fall the leaves let go all at once in this part of Iowa, and clearing them off is its own kind of finish.
