About Murica Maintenance and Contracting LLC

The Linn County Fairgrounds sit quiet for most of the winter, wide gravel lots empty of the trucks and trailers that fill them every August, and Murica Maintenance and Contracting LLC treats those same open lots as a proving ground for the bigger equipment before turning to Marion's tighter residential driveways. Clearing acres of open gravel brings its own satisfaction, distinct from clearing a single driveway — long straight passes, snow pushed into rows along the fence line, the whole lot readable from one end to the other once it's done. From the fairgrounds the crew moves into town proper, working driveways and small commercial lots with the same equipment scaled down to size. Marion's winter mornings are often still and cold rather than windy, the kind of cold that keeps snow exactly where it falls until someone moves it. Watching a fairground-sized lot go from white to gravel in one pass never quite gets old.
