About Friends of the Earth Landscaping

Beneath Marion's lawns lies the same black prairie loam that made this corner of Linn County worth farming, and in April it wakes all at once. Friends of the Earth Landscaping works with that fertility instead of against it, mowing often enough that clippings fall back and feed the ground, trimming clean, edging where turf meets walk. Spring here is loud with new growth and rain that arrives sideways off the fields, so the route stays flexible while the cuts stay regular. Landscape maintenance rounds it out, holding beds and borders honest as everything fills in around them. It is grounded work, and Marion in May is a fine place to be doing it.
