About Culver's Garden Center & Greenhouse

The greenhouse glass at Culver's Garden Center & Greenhouse fogs over on the coldest mornings, holding its own small warmth while the parking lot outside collects drift after drift, and clearing that lot before customers arrive is its own kind of ritual. There's something almost funny about running a plow past rows of dormant nursery stock waiting out the winter under their own cover, but the work matters just the same — a lot scraped clean means someone can pull in for salt or seed without sliding on ice. The crew works the lot and the front walk first, then moves to the loading area around back where deliveries still come through even in January. Marion's winter light is often flat and low, the kind that makes frost on a windshield glitter longer than it should. By midmorning the lot is bare pavement again, steam rising faintly off the blacktop where the sun finally reaches it.
