Aaron's Lawn Care & Landscaping

About Aaron's Lawn Care & Landscaping

Uptown Marion's brick-paved stretch of Seventh Avenue is one of the prettier blocks in Linn County, all century-old storefronts and hanging lights, and Aaron's Lawn Care & Landscaping treats it with the same care in January as they do the lawns they tend the rest of the year. Brick holds ice differently than blacktop — longer, slicker, less forgiving — so the sidewalks along that stretch get an early pass before the shop owners arrive to unlock their doors. From there the crew moves out into the surrounding blocks, clearing driveways under the tall old trees that shade so much of Marion's residential grid. There's something satisfying about a brick sidewalk scraped down to its own true color, dark red instead of white, ready for a Saturday morning's foot traffic. It's a small piece of a small city done right, one block at a time.
