About RK Lawns & Property Maintenance LLC

Spring in Maquoketa arrives first as mud and then, almost without warning, as green — the boulevards along Platt Street filling in, the courthouse block softening, the fairground grass coming back for another summer. RK Lawns & Property Maintenance LLC starts its year there, in that first stretch when everything grows faster than anyone expects and a property can get away from you in ten days. The pride here is in the line work: a driveway edge cut straight enough to snap a chalk line against, trim carried evenly around every post and downspout, walks swept so nothing tracks indoors. Beyond the mowing there is the ordinary upkeep that keeps a place looking looked-after through an Iowa summer, week after week on the same day. Come back on a Saturday evening and the yard sits quiet and squared away, which is exactly the point.
