About Chris Ihrig Lawn Care and Snow Removal LLC

Two blades run this outfit, and each one has its half of the calendar. From the first warm weeks through October it is the mower deck, working yards in Maquoketa and the gravel-road places out toward Baldwin and Monmouth, keeping the grass even and the trim lines honest around mailboxes, foundations and light poles. Then the wind swings hard out of the northwest, the hills along Highway 61 go the color of old rope, and the truck comes out with a plow on the front instead. Winter work in Jackson County gets measured before daylight — a drive opened, a walk scraped down to concrete, a car that backs out on time on a morning that started well below zero. Chris Ihrig Lawn Care and Snow Removal LLC takes on both halves of the year, and both come down to the same thing: the ground in front of your door being ready the minute you need it.
