About Fitzgerald Lawn & Services

Not many towns can say the ground beneath them holds the scar of an ancient meteorite strike, but Manson can, and Fitzgerald Lawn & Services works that same buried-crater country through Calhoun County's harder winters. The land here reads flat to the eye, but it dips and swells in ways that pool snow into odd little drifts along fence rows and driveways alike. The crew clears those drifts street by street, working from downtown outward past the grain elevator toward the edges of town where the fields take over. There's a rhythm to it: scrape, salt, move on, and by mid-morning the sidewalks are bare even where the wind has already started refilling them. A clean walk in Manson in January is a small, stubborn victory, and it's one this crew keeps winning one block at a time.
