About Wurth Tree Service

The old street trees lining Central Avenue in Le Mars carry decades of growth over the sidewalks below, and every heavy winter storm tests just how much ice those branches can hold before something gives. Wurth Tree Service spends a good part of each winter watching that exact line between a tree that's fine under a coat of ice and one about to drop a limb onto a parked car or a cleared walk. The work runs alongside the snow itself — a branch down across a driveway is as common a call as a driveway that just needs the blade run over it — and clearing both in the same visit saves a property from needing two separate calls. Downtown, where the canopy is thickest, the shade that makes summer evenings pleasant becomes the exact reason a sidewalk stays icy longer than one out in the open. Once the branches are cleared and the walk is safe underfoot again, the street trees stand bare and dark against the snow, carrying the next storm's weight until it's time to check on them again.
