About Grass Roots Landscaping

The first real green in Le Mars arrives all at once, usually in a week when the northwest wind is still cold enough to make you zip a jacket. Grass Roots Landscaping opens the season right there: the first cut of the year, the trimming around mailboxes and light poles that winter left ragged, the drive swept clean afterward. Boulevard trees on the older streets leaf out late here, so lawns get full sun a while longer than a person might expect. Every yard gets its own rhythm worked out, which corner holds water, which strip along the curb burns off first. By the end of May the whole town looks like it has been combed.
