About Top Turf, LLC

La Porte City sits low along Wolf Creek where it bends toward the Cedar River, and in a hard winter that valley holds onto cold air longer than the open ground around it. Top Turf, LLC works that chill every storm, running plows over the iron truss bridge into town and out along the streets that dip down near the creek bottom, where drifts tend to pile deepest. The name says turf, and the same crew that keeps lawns trim in summer treats a snow-packed driveway with the same close attention come January — corner to corner, no missed strip along the garage. Mornings after a heavy snow, that bridge into town carries the first plow of the day, salt scattering behind it onto pavement still dark with cold. It's a small town's worth of driveways and short lots, cleared in the hours before the rest of La Porte City gets moving.
