About Boots N' Bikini's Lawn Care, LLC

By the second week of July the fountain at Terra Lake throws its plume into air that already shimmers, and every lawn in Johnston is asking for water and a mowing in the same breath. Boots N' Bikini's Lawn Care, LLC works straight through that heat, which is the honest half of the job nobody photographs — the afternoon passes, the sweat, the trimmer line hot in the hand. The payoff is worth the sun: a yard cut uniform from curb to back fence, borders run tight along the driveway, the clippings gone rather than smeared. Iowa summers are short and loud, and a mowed lawn in high summer smells like the whole season at once. Nothing complicated in it, only doing it fully, every week, while it is hot.
